Manuela Pilz completed her Fine Art Bachelor Degree at Sheffield Hallam University, where she studied painting and printmaking with Anne Grebby. Since then she has taught art in the UK, Portugal, Spain and Australia at university, primary and secondary school level, and also at independent art schools. Today Manuela teaches short intensive drawing workshops in Queensland, Australia. Her passion has always been drawing and painting the figure and recently has turned her hand to portraiture. Her recent career highlights have been participating being a finalist for the Lethbridge 20000 in 2019, winning the Watts Atelier (click for link) Master Skill Building Challenge in 2016 judged by James Gurney and studying at the Florence Academy in Italy under Jura Bedic, Taylor Scarlet Powell and Tanvi Pathare in 2017. In 2019 she spent some time studying at Julian Ashton school of Art in Sydney where she continued to study oil painting and portraiture. Workshops in Australia Over the years Manuela has taught art at primary and secondary schools and at private art academies with adults and children.
