Course Description
A fun and interactive class keeping you engaged and wanting to learn. This is a virtual classroom where we can draw along with the teacher and ask questions as we go along.
This is a new course for the Drawing Room!!!

• Revising drawing textures such as hair, feathers, fur and reflective surfaces. We will draw from still life, animals and the portrait.  
• Time to work with bigger and looser work.
• Looking into how to compose and create your own individual interpretations from photo reference or still life. 
• Revise how to use comparative measurement and increase the scale of work. 
• Revisiting working from life. 
• Looking at art history and contemporary artists for inspiration. 
• You will be introduced to highly recommended books and videos on YouTube from some excellent contemporary artists and teachers so that you can continue your personal study in this area. 

Who is this course for:

• ​Beginners and more experienced drawers
• New students and old who would like to revise some important principles and foundational skills with interesting and fun drawing activities that will help them in any art medium in the future
• anyone who would like an opportunity to start the practice of drawing at home in a supportive virtual environment
• those returning to art and wanting to build up their confidence in drawing before trying out a painting course at another establishment
• This course is perfect for those of you who have very busy schedules, are dealing with health conditions and don't wish to commute to a class

This Zoom class will include:

• An introduction to help you study online for first time Zoomers.
• Simple instructions before the course as to how to set up your drawing space and organise your lighting before class
• A structured course designed to build up our drawing skills step by step
• Opportunity to record the classes so that you can watch the video during the week over and over again
• Classes will be in real time, not pre-recorded so you can ask questions as we go
• Reference material of drawings and photos and a PowerPoint with the lessons instructions.
• Correction and feedback on your work during the online class
• More feedback on your classwork or homework via email during the week

Contact me for information about private one to one 5 week or more packages. Mentor sessions are usually on Wednesday mornings or Thursday evenings. 
​These classes are good for those of you who wish to be more independent and are looking for more challenging subject matter.

Course Description
Why does it seem so easy for some people to draw while most people struggle with even basic stick figures? Would you like to learn the tricks of the trade and get support to overcome those blocks stopping you from learning to draw?

Here is a fun and interactive class which will do this and keep you engaged and wanting to learn more. This is a virtual class, not pre-recorded and you can talk with the teacher and asks questions whenever you like. 
This course is a foundational course in how to draw with graphite, understanding pencils,  proportion, seeing angles and shapes, drawing from the right side of the brain, line weight, learning about light and form and tips that will help you draw anything. 

Who is this course for:

• ​Beginners and anyone wanting to try a virtual classroom for the first time. 
• New students and old who would like to revise some important principles and foundational skills with interesting and fun drawing activities that will help them in any art medium in the future
• an opportunity to start the practice of drawing at home in a supportive virtual environment and a great way of establishing a drawing routine
• those returning to art and wanting to build up their confidence in drawing before trying out a painting course at another establishment
