Course Description
Part I of the Beginner Drawing course is a back to basics introduction to the skills of drawing. We first start with learning about the versatility of the pencil, charcoal and how other drawing tools work. Then we look at shading, line quality, how to measure, recognising angles and shapes and finally we look at how to shade to depict form. All this can be done through drawing a landscape, still life, portrait and a figure. Most students continue on to Beginner Drawing II which completes the course where these skills are practiced further and a few more skills are introduced.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ Social Distancing Considerations I have kept the bookings to the class small while we are going through these challenging times. Another consideration besides spacing is dealing with drink and food. I am happy to supply teabags, coffee and milk but I regret that during these times I wont be supplying snack food. Therefore, I recommend bringing your own snacks and your own cups and utensils. This will avoid any unnecessary sharing that could reduce the chances of anyone catching a cold or compromising anyone's health. I also politely request that if you are showing any signs of a cold, please let me know by phone and I will look for a time you can make up the class the following week at one of the other classes. Booking Terms and Conditions During these times it necessary to have catch up classes considering the issues stated above, I will do my best to allow you to fit in with one of the other classes to catch up. ie if you are attending a morning class, you have the option to catch up by attending the afternoon or evening class the following week. However, there are two considerations that need to be taken into consideration. Firstly the catch up class must be taken within the period that has been paid for (5 or 10 week block) Catch up classes cannot be carried over to the next program or set of classes. Secondly, as class numbers are limited, a class that can accommodate an extra person will need to be found. Together we will try to find a time that suits but it cannot be guaranteed that the time required will be available. In this case the class will need to be forfeited as classes cannot be refunded due to personal circumstances or health. In the case of the teacher having to cancel due to illness, the class or classes will be rescheduled or refunded in full. CANCELLATIONS Classes can be cancelled up to 7 days prior to course commencement date incurring a 10% admin fee for cancellation. We have a strictly no cancellation policy with the week prior to the course. In the case of a lockdown or border closures affecting travel if you reside outside the bubble, the course fee will be fully reimbursed. |
